JFK IB High School Profile

The International Baccalaureate aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people, who help create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect. This program encourages our students to ask challenging questions, think critically, take risks and engage deeply in a world well beyond the classroom and pure academic success. The IB fosters intercultural understanding and respect, not as an alternative to a sense of cultural and national identity, but as an essential aspect of 21st century life.

Trips
  • High School students partake in trips across the country, forever expanding their appreciation of the community to which they belong.
College Fair
  • We are one of the few schools in Mexico who offer this type of event, where more than 50 universities come every year to offer valuable information on their programs, including summer courses, scholarships and much more!
Elective courses
  • Students can get involved in Model United Nations, Student Council, theater and any number of electives or clubs from EcoClub to Podcasts, from Marine Biology to Digital Photography, from Rock Band to Nutrition and Wellness.
Mentoring Program
  • The goal of our Mentoring Program is to ensure that each individual student has at least one adult outside the immediate classroom environment that knows them personally who can provide guidance and advocate for them during adolescence on a range of different social and school issues. This mentor will remain constant for the student throughout the four years of High School.
Career Counseling
  • Our individualized High School Career Counseling focuses on your student’s talents, values and interests to help them identify their best career and college fit. By the end of high school, your child will have received resources and information that will allow him or her to make an informed decision about a life-long career and best university option.
